One of the best songs I have ever heard from For Today, "Fearless", released on March 6, brings a new sense of expectancy for the new album
Immortal, releasing on May 22. This song is creative, melodic, and brings out a new side of For Today with their production on Razor & Tie Records. The song includes similar instrumentals to that of
Breaker, their third album released in 2010, but "Fearless" definitely puts emphasis on the lead vocalist, Mattie Montgomery. Also, there is a new element to this song, which can be expected for the rest of
Immortal: newer vocals. I would not consider them clean vocals, but there is certainly a new dimension added to the music that For Today creates. Even though it sounds somewhat identical to the sound of their old music, this song will still capture your attention and will leave a rhythm that will repeat in your head over and over again. If you are a fan of metal music at all, you can appreciate what For Today has brought to the table. It will leave you excited, to say the least, about
Immortal.
